The idea is terrible that Gord has put forth. Normally Gord does a great job as commish (which is a tough job at the best of times), but this time he loused up (perfectly normal as he is human...or at least we shoudl hope so ).
There is NOTHING wrong with double-shifting regular strength. The problem is with triple shifting AND playing players at a position they are not dressed as. NOW, just to say, nobody has cheated at all. There was no previous rule against it so therefore it was not cheating. The rule change should also not come til the off-season. Putting it in right now, in the middle of the season, is a HUGE mistake.
I myself have decided I will follow the rule, but in doing so I am gonna throw the rest of my games in order to get the best draft pick possible. There can be no way I could ever catch up to the super 5 unless I were to be able to use double-shifting and playing players in a position I choose (not the way Easton or Chase did BUT by dressing and playing them in the position I dress them as). I therefore need to hope for a super go-up on the farm and a great few draft picks in order to ever have a chance.
Also, notice that most of the complainers were from the uper echelon teams? Plus, you will be hearing more from me on this. If people can complain about what they do not like then I can do the same.
