I emailed Scott Tremblay from Gagetown NB about this LAV and this is what he emailed me back. I asked his permission to post this so thanks Scott.
"To my knowledge the forces have gone to a new type of paint. Which unfortunatly flakes and deteriates rapidly. Also to my understanding the undercoating or "primer" is white. I also believe though in this case, apparently being a 2RCR LAV it has participatd in an overseas deployment hench the white coat as well. I noticed that with the Coyotes I've worked on, alot of the paint can be peeled rite off. Now y did they send such a crappy lav to a dog an pony who knows, I think its because all other LAV's are currently on the parade square for the change of command thats up coming lol. hope this helps, but if u wish ill ask more into the paint in the up coming days"
Just wanted to share this in case anyone was still wondering.
Regards
Bill
