Chris, how is that everyone is entitled to have an opinion as long as it doesn't differ from yours? And if someone corrects details of your speculations, you get all pissy and childish, but you somehow feel that it's perfectly acceptable for you to go out of your way to correct others, even if they are speaking from experience and/or known fact?
Your guesses ("you say that my guesses are not accurate?") are simply speculation, and while you're (same as 'you are') entitled to your opinion, it would be advantageous for all if you attempted to get your facts straight before spewing your responses. For example:
> "you will see I mentioned add on storage and electronic turret ring replacing the hydro one"
Canadianized stowage is a no brainer (look at any veh the CF has ever purchased), and while you envision an 'electronic' turret ring, it will be an electric turret motor that is fitted. Small difference, but one that is beyond semantics if you look at the differences.
> Stephane's name is correctly spelled with an 'e' on the end. If you're going to quote someone to support your guess, it would only be common courtesy to spell their name correctly.
> "I had come to that opinion based on what is being offered for Leopard user countries and what other Leopard users are doing with their Leos.
Other than Denmark and Canada, who else has put Leo2's into combat up to this point? I mention that since basing future mods to our tanks to improve their crew survivability based on what other countries are doing in peacetime conditions would be as assinine as designing a mountain bike on a Tour De France winner's cycle.
> "I do not need any military experience to read a book or a web site"
No, you don't... You are absolutely right. But to snub the experience of others in favour of something you read on the Net and can't confirm the accuracy of is pure foly, borderline stupidity, and just plain ignorant, particularly given the depth and variety of experience of members in this DG.
Frankly, I'm tired of every discussion on this board turning into a Chris Jerrett soapbox, with your negative tone whenever someone else makes a comment. As someone said, you build some very well done models. But If you can't discuss things without getting defensive or insulting each and every time there is a slight difference of opinion, then perhaps you should go somewhere else... we can see your models on all the other modelling sites that you post images to, but not have to endure your tips.
Due to popular demand, congratulations on being the first blocked IP in MCV history. Seems I get the last word on this one.
