I was watching Goldeneye the other day and when I saw the tank/car chase i decided I had to do the T-55 used complete with 007 and the statue. Can anyone recommend a good T-55 to use?

Thanks Mike

How long can you wait?

Just recently announced by the big T:

A T-55! Methinks a lot of Esci/Trumpeter/Skif kits will be up for sale soon.

Cheers,
Jim

Any idea when the kit will be out or how much it will cost?

T-55? Did we use them??

September 22 2002, 2:24 PM

Fellas!

The first time I get a chance to sit down and really have a good look at the DG since I left in April, and the top topic is about vehicles Canada has never used!

Nice to have a decent T-55 on the market though.

Cheers,
JP

I should be back on here regularly by the end of Oct.

I know, OT, but it's been so quiet, I figure any chat is good!

Hey, Jeep
Aren't there any abandoned/knocked out T-55's that we've driven by somewhere?
When ya back? I might be visiting Ottawa mid-October. Contact me via e-mail.

Cheers,
Jim

T-55s

I had my hands on a lot of T55s in Kuwait. In fact my Field Squadron blew up about a dozen of them for dog and pony shows. Might make a good diorama with the MAN 5 Ton.

Canadian T-55

August 18 2003, 10:28 PM

Well, not exactly, it's only a photo of Canadian Engineers in Eritrea riding the mine rolling T-55 of one of the other UN contingents.

I acquired the image from the OP Eclipse Tour CD, borrowed from a buddy that was there. I believe it's a 'happy snap' from one of the troops, but it may be a photo by the CF Photo Tech on the Tour.

Cheers,
Jeep

Now that's something...

A WHITE T-55! Much better than all those green or sand or sand and green ones that are out there! Not much wear and tear on it either. Wonder what markings would be on it?

Couldn't resist!

Actually, here's another image from the same Op Eclipse souvenir CD. I can only assume that it was taken by a CF photographer or one of the soldiers on the mission, as there are no individual photo credits on the CD.

Cheers,
Jeep
