Hi,

I'd like to know if there are any 1/35 modern stretchers available, like the ones used on the back of the LAVIII to carry all kind of stuff, before I start scratchbuilding one?

....has them (mapleleafmodels.com) and they are excellent but his shop is closed temporarily. I'm not sure of anyone else who has some but if you can wait a bit, he should be open any day now.

If you can not get the MLM one from someone Accurate Armor make some stretchers too and they come open as well as folded up. To my eye they look to be pretty much the same.

The handles on our old canvas ones are too long to fit in the Blackhawk. Also, the canvas material was very difficult to sanitize after being used to transport leaking casualties. That being said, in 1/35th scale, I think I'd go with an MLM stretcher before trying to scratch a new one that is only slightly different. If you paint the canvas area black instead of green, you should be OK. I will see if I have any pics from KAF.

Those are quite a bit different than the ones I remember. Thanks for posting the shot!

Not sure when we made the switch from the OD/canvas/wood version to this one. The little buttons inboard of the carry handles are detents that allow the handles to telescope inside, making the stretcher short enough to be carried across the floor of the UH 60 series.
