What a great day to be enjoying Canada Day here in Calgary...warm and sunny.

Have a fantastic day all over our wonderful country from coast to coast.

Cheers to all those who can't be home today to kick back and enjoy a BBQ, a beer or two, and eye catching fireworks.

Dominion Day

July 1 2009, 11:49 AM

Happy Birthday Canada! 142 years since Confederation.
To those of us who are traditionalist, it is still
Dominion Day in this great country of ours.

Happy Dominion Day Canada.

While walking the dogs this morning, I was treated to the Snowbirds doing a few formation passes over Kingston; it was very very cool!. I then remembered that today is our nation's birthday, so I sang "Happy Birthday Canada" to the dogs (in a similar fashion as did Lee Emery in Full Metal Jacket) - they thought I was barking mad - and then they went back to chasing squirrels.

Anyways, happy Canada Day to all. Now get outside and BBQ something!

Cheers - Dan

Every day

Every day is Canada day on this site.

I propose we change the site name to LEOPARDS and LAVS of Canada.
