I might be one of the slower kids in the room, but it looks as though the shock covers/spats? on the LAV III are a solid sheet metal, yet on the AFV Club they are indicated as a perforated metal.

Since the covers are not with the Real Models etch set this should be done by scratchin' yes?

Yup, they are solid. The perforated ones are on the Strykers.

in the bottom of the kit...runnin' lose and free they were. All is okay with the world.
