Marines, you have a proud and glorious history dating back to 1775--you don't need this crap.
I'm just an old boot, but in the early '50s I served with numerous Old-Time Marines who knew that Semper Fidelis and, maybe, Gung Ho was all they needed! Many of the Marines I am now speaking of served in places like China, Nicaragua and Haiti even before I was born! Not to mention those old salts from both WWII and Korea.
Semper Fidelis was good enough for them--they never dreamed of replacing it with anything.
