Used to own the following email address: benhod@classnet.co.il Now he probably uses the following email address: iotrad@netvision.net.il . He steals and forges cheques (bank drafts) of or drawn on a BARCLAYS bank in London, Great Britain and then pays with these cheques
for his orders. Those cheques of Moshe Ben-Hod bounce and he will not stop to cheat you in all possible ways. Asked to return the scammed merchandise this Moshe Ben-Hod sends trash in a package with "proof of delivery" card for you to sign. Also he sends terribly misgraded (trash) notes to other collectors and again: his cheques bounce! He claims to be a President of some
kind of numismatic society in Israel and makes up all kinds of stories to trap you in to his schemes. He is still very active and has been reported by collectors as "well and alive" and walking free. You could be his next victim! Beware of this scam artist!

Moshe Ben-Hod is still active (June 2002) and tries to steal some of your most valuable banknotes. Now he operates on eBay online auctions (just left him a nice negative feedback to warn future sellers). He will send
a cheque from the United Missouri Bank Warsaw, Missouri, using the company IO Trading. He wants you to ship the merchandise to Oasis Numismatics, 501 North Taylor st., Fallon, Nevada 89406, USA. When I informed him the cheque had been sent to the UMB for clearance, prior to sending the banknotes, he got rather impatient: "We can not wait that long, please return the cheque and we will send you cash". Never heard of the man since. Other eBay sellers report the same practices by this swindler. Be well aware of this thief and exclude him from your biddings by activiting his id's on the blocked-bidders page.
Please notify when someone discovers a ID change of this banknote swindler. Let's keep it a trade of honest dealers & collector's.

He purchased a coin from me paid by a cheque from Panama. He wanted to take a whole lot of silver from me but I did not keep the email trade. I am waiting to see if the cheque will clear but from what you are saying this is unlikely.

By the way, his home address is in an upmarket area of Tel Aviv, so if he scams people, he surely makes some good money out of it. So, after him !!!

It seems the last posting was around a year ago regarding Moshe Ben-Hod. He recently scammed us for $1369, around the beginning of June 2004. He was still using the same PO Box number but using the name Claude Granada, Promodes ltd. I banked the cheque and waitred for it to clear - unfortunately i did not leave it long enough - i sent the coins and the cheque bounced. Before the cheque bounced he tried to order another coin from us for $7000, this time i smelt a rat and did the necessary check ups, needless to say there were no further dealings. Why have the Israeli authorities done nothing? Have they even been contacted? Incidentally his new id on ebay is granadaclaugra.
I have a trusted contact in Israel and will ask him to investigate further.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who can help.

We have in contacted Israeli Embassy in USA and Israeli Police, but there was no response no action. Also Ebay has not acted upon him. Ebay only bans his IDs but he signs up with a new one. Ebay does not ban his credit cards. Ebay has banned us from using Ebay only because we exposed Moshe Ben-Hod on Ebay forums. Ebay has done litrtle to nothing to stop this Israeli Criminal from scamming tons of Ebayers and he keeps on doing so! Today someone in France reported another attempt of fraud from Moshe Ben-Hod again! It seems like Israel is a good shelter for CRIMINALS!

This bastard just did me for $3000. Used the name Claude Granada.

Claude Granada is in Las Vegas Nevada this New Year.
He tried to pay for ancient coins with a check on Boston Fleet Bank and used Promodes as his company. We did not accept the check. He uses an associate who said Claude had to leave early and he was just supposed to leave the check and pick up the coins. He gave a phone in Israel 011 97235444932, when I called the person identified himself as Claude Granada. Good luck!
