Sounds like you have had a peacefull sabbatical .
I must admit that the designs coming out of Switzerland , and sometimes Germany , are getting more and more complicated and expensive , and sometimes quite hard on the eye , but then we have such simple masterpieces as the Richard Lange

, many have said that eventually the bubble will burst , for surely the market for increasingly complex and horrendously expensive timepieces must decrease in proportion to their increasing cost and complexity .
Each year there is a new round of price hikes that puts even modestly spec'd 7750 based chronos into the 5 figure plus range , and this from a movement that was originally designed to bring economical robustness to the masses !
I think we all go through periods of ' jadedness ' with any hobby or interest , but often bounce back with renewed vitality and enthusiasm , I'm sure we will see more posts from you yet , and perhaps more horological acquisitions , even if they lean towards the rational , which is no bad thing !
Regards from Oz ,
Chris .
P.S. For a long time I never really understood what the attaction was with Panerai , but now I find myself leaning towards the classic simplicity
and simple functionality of a Base Luminor .
