I'm thinking of going here, though you have to
reserve 10 days in advance, costs 74$ to attend,
includes breakfast. its about 2 hours away by
car.

they have one march 27th, march 28th
they have some more throughout the year.

scca runs autox's too...and alot more frequently...and a whole lot closer too. THis weekend theres an envent at the Oakland Coliseum...i believe its round 4. IT only cost 30 bucks...but u need a membership that runs about 40 bucks i think. Scca has a autox event every other week at locations all around the bay area...maily Oakland (coliseum), San Francisco (candle stick park, Albany (golden gate fields)...and there are more places they run at but i dont remember what they are....

thanks for the info X. One of the reasons I was
thinking of going to atwater was because the courses
are designed for high powered vehicles (i.e. more
straights, wider path) allowing one to get to higher
speeds.

I've heard the scca courses are smaller,
lower speed type courses. i may go to the oakland
one to watch.
