| 2009 2010 JrC All-Star Game
Georgian Mid-Ontario JrC at Western JrC
Sunday, November 22, 2009
2:00 p.m.
Mt. Forest Arena
This year, it has been decided to adopt a two year programme between the two leagues. Instead of the customary coin toss, the winner of the All-Star game will have Home ice advantage in the first round of the Provincial Playoffs. Hopefully this will instill some meaning to the game, thereby promoting Junior C hockey, and presenting the fans with a great hockey game. The Western league has agreed to host this years event in Mt. Forest on Sunday, November 22, 2009, and the Georgian Mid-Ontario league will host it next year.
As selected at a recent GMOHL League meeting, the following is the GMOHL All-Star team. It should be noted, that while there are 24 players selected, including 4 overagers, and backups at each position, not everyone will necessarily get ice time as a team can only dress 20 players for the game. The final decision for game-time selections will rest with the coaches.

Congratulations to all those who were selected. Sounds like a great line up and it should be a great game to watch. |

If at all possible, why not venture over to Mt. Forest for the game? With so much on the line for the winner, I'm sure that the boys would love to see and hear some GMOHL fans in the stands. It's only about an hour west of Alliston, or north-west of Erin and Fergus. Then you can do like some of the players are doing, and stop off in Alliston on the way home for the Penetang at Alliston scheduled game that evening.
Get a carpool together to save on the costs. It doesn't matter how you get there, but you owe it to yourself to make an attempt to see some great hockey. When else will you be able to see two top quality games in one afternoon/evening? Let's support OUR team and show the West how it's done. |

How does Corey Hastings not make this team? |

Only allowed 4 OverAgers, and only 3 are allowed to play in the game. |

Mostly correct, but four overagers are allowed to play. However, the question for the GBMO was that Chris Daniels, potentially the starting goalie, is an overager which only allows for three forwards/defence dressing. If Daniels wasn't a selection for goaltender, it could have been four others up front. |

I still think Corey would have been a better choice than Curtis Watson if you look at their last two years. | |
