Kings win the first one in a while with a "dub" over the Cougars tonight.


5-3 was the final score.

Kings lead the series 1-0 and game 2 is in Penetang tomorrow night @ 8PM

Cougars came out of the gate to a 3-1 lead. Once the game settled down coaching killed them. Very unorganized in their own end, no dicsipline. Kings came out real shakey from Cougars pressure. Kings passing and puck control dominated the game after the first period. Cougars coaches showed their frustration as they all sat on the bench with their backs against the wall waiting for their team to come out and start the next period during both intermissions. I guess they are saviving the Gipper speeche for later.

Cougs looked good for the first half but then figured the game was over once they went up by 2. Playoffs are a whole different game and you gotta put you big boy skates on and go to work like the Kings did for the second half of the game. They controlled the puck/play as the Cougars played as a selfish team. Will be a quick series as the Kings get their full lineup back unless Schomberg can turn it up a notch. Also I believe the coaches for both teams were out on the benches early so maybe they both decided to say something quick and let the boys talk it over.
