you know what i just thought of

you know how you put the forarm peice on !
i think if some one wanted to use the airsource tanks that you could hollow out the forarm and have it in it. i think it would look really nice and also hide the tank. but i still really like the setup you came up with looks user friendly ;^)

Forearm
January 7 2004, 12:33 AM
Unfortunlately, the old 392 forearm is to small a diameter to hold the A.S. tanks, though perhaps one of those slim precharge tanks would fit (I've never seen one in person), might be a great way to stealth the co2 souce. It would look JUST like a pumper 392.
Ahhhrghh....Inspiration Strikes again !! and here I thought it was as good as it could get. HAHAAHAHA
A modders work is never done.

Here are some snapshots of my 2250's just took em and the lighting is rather bad ( the silver one has an aluminum body, breech and barrel. The other is camo.)
Have more pics, but i think i've exceeded my storage allotment. Will post better ones in a few days.
thanks for the interest.

Case
January 7 2004, 8:39 PM
The steel case is from a PorterCable Sawsall..got it used for $8.00 , the inside is 3 layers of 1"foam glued together(spray adhesive) coated with red felt(same adhesive)Both available at your local fabric store. The whole thing cost about $25 and took 2 hours to put together(not including painting). I also made a similar case for the aluminum 2250, which breaks down into 2 pieces(seam is just behind forearm).

Thanks

Thanks B-man! I hate running out of gas , with a 4 or 9oz tank I figgure I'm set for a full days worth of shooting. The Ironic thing about my new as392 is that I usually carry an Airsource tank as backup anyhow, though I've yet to use one
I wonder if B/S is intending to update the Pneumatic 392 with that bolt system? The cocking handle on the benjie always looked like such an afterthought..,
Also, I am wondering why the company finally showed the sense to reintroduce a .22 cal CO2 rifle? The trend when the old "G" series was to go with .177. I have long been a fan of the ,22 cal pumpers and Once again having a nice American made .22 CO2 is appealing!
The Daisy Tank is quite small and maybe could be fitted into your nicely mounted forearm.
A friend of mine in Mexico had tried to make a deal for some ultra Custom aftermarket top grade stockworks for the Sheridan and the Benjamin pumpers, but the deal never went. With the option of the slim Daisy tank and the proper plumbing, I can foresee possibilities of now fitting some premiere wood to the new A/S!

AS392 chrony #'s
January 7 2004, 8:49 PM
Initial chrony #'s on the above AS392 are 535fps on low power and 627fps on high, with Crosman 14.3gr wadcutters @ 71 degrees F. This rifle is also supprisingly consistant in its groupings..Crosman seems to do a better crowning job with the brass B.S. line than the steel barrels I've worked with to date.
