I'm from Missouri, and I worked at an animal hospital for two years where I had to watch abused and mistreated animals be sent home with their owner because we had no legal means to stop them. I heard the other day that Louisianna has very strict laws against animal abuse and I'd like to know what they are. Any other states laws would be fine, too. I just need something so that I can start a campaign to get this changed in Missouri. I don't want to have to see any more animals that are thirty pounds underweight be sent home with their "owners". Thanks for any help I can get.
