I do not understand peoples thinking on the subject of wolfdogs. They are very simply another breed of dog. All of our domestic breeds of dogs were originated from wolves, coyotes, and their subspecies. The natural traits, the basics are still there if you look and pay attention. My full blooded Long Haired King Sized German Shepard AKC registered who is 11-years old now has more wolfish tendencies than my 2-year old 95% wolfdog, both males. Have you not noticed that your domestic breed, say your chiwawa, or your collies, or your beagles, any breed you want to think of or even put a bunch of different breeds of dogs together in the same pen. They will decide amongst themselves who is in charge and who isn't. The same as a wolf pack. You have to use common sense with your Rotwieler when you get him, meaning if you live in a little bitty apartment in the middle of town with no where for him to run and exercise you usually have problems, so you pick a little dog which doesn't require alot of room to run, he gets all the exercise he needs in a smaller space. People are the problem and breeders who sell animals to individuals who do not have the ammple space for the animal they are purchasing. And as far as Wolves being unsocial animals and dangerous, how many German Shepards, Rotwielers,Razorbacks, or for that matter any large, medium or even small dogs are you going to approach that you do not know to be friendly ahead of time. Hopefully none, because you run a high risk of being bitten. You must use common sense and no 'LAW' can teach you that.
