im just reading pattern recognition now and im not even through the first hundred posts.
however two things have ocurred to me (among many others i suppose).
1. if you google "what asian sluts deserve" the first link up brings you to an odd norwegian site (.nl is norwegian isnt it?)which is odd because it has nothing to do with porn.
2. what little description that has been afforded us of damien (up until the point at which i am at in the book) seems to describe the british music video director chris cunningham. my main reason for saying this are the robots damien has in the same room as his computer which seem to me similar to the robot in the bjork video done by cunningham. i find the parallel amusing since, a long time ago, i read a blurb in entertainment weekly about cunningham being interested in a screen adaptation of neuromancer. imdb confirms however that there is no neuromancer movie in the works helmed by cunningham or otherwise (though apparently there was a videogame in 1988). though i think cunningham would be an inspired choice for such a film i am in no way disappointed that there are no real plans for one...yet.
