This article clearly paints the picture of exactly what happened. I know this for fact. President Obama has sided with the ousted Honduran President and Hugo Chavez and in essence, Castro and Norriega et al. I find Obama's behavior is this very disturbing because he obviously didn't do his homework.
The Venezualan people have been marching in their streets wishing they would have done what Honduras did. They're calling Honduras the "little country that could". All of this started because Zalaya wanted to be a dictator and have unlimited terms. His term was up in 2010. Elections were scheduled for the fall. The country is being run by the equivalent of the Speaker of the House. I know all this because Paula my DIL is from Honduras and her family is still there. I asked her how such a leftist guy got elected in the first place and she said that the country is so poor that they buy the votes. (the crooked guys) They give them a couple of bucks and they promise to vote for them. And we think we've got problems!
