May 12th at the Parks Department building at 7 PM. How about people show up there and complain about the new park on Court, and other things regarding this town. Writing on these boards is fine, but it rarely gets anything done. Show up and voice your displeasure. Also, the website Lyndhurstnj.org has phone numbers of the elected officials. Call them and voice the displeasure that goes on in these message boards. Make your voice heard.

I just went to the town's website and see that the Beautification Meeting is not on Monday. It is on Tuesday.
As for the trees in the park, I called the town. They said that unfortunately those trees were unsafe and had to come down. I will give them the benefit of doubt in this case. They say they are planting twice the number that were cut down. I looked this morning and it looks like they are telling the truth. Has anybody who is complaining even asked the question?
The beautification group has nothing to do with the parks or cutting down trees. Their big thing is planting trees and flowers wherever they can in Lyndhurst. They are the group that celebrates Arbor Day on behalf of the town. I'll bet that they are sad to see the trees go.
Go to the Commissioners Meeting and ask if you are really worried.

The township said the trees were unsafe, what a bunch of crap. They just needed the park to look new and pretty. If some branches were suspect you trim not demolish.I saw the trunks, healthy as this towns inflated ego.I guess the trees got unsafe over the winter. So it looks like they didnt care about your childs safty last summer.Stay tuned, there are about six more hundred year old trees to come down.
