Appettizio's (Spelling?) At Ridge and Rutherford Ave, across from the Shell Station.
Best Sandwiches in town, Lot's of good stuff in store.
Friendly staff and the owner always has a big hello and a great attitude! Pleasure going in there.

Ohhhhh.... I fear this will turn into a flamefest, with all the differing opinions on stuff but I will opine none the less.
Businesses I like:
Oriental Garden. We have been ordering there for years, since the day they opened and they have always been nice and friendly. The food is always fresh, the portions large and the prices really competitive.
Lyndhurst Animal Hospital. Dr Micheal is an absolutely fantastic vet. He is there for the love of animals, not the love of money. He has a much better gift of dealing with animals than he does with humans, but a more dedicated vet I have never found. I truly believe that God has a special place in Heaven reserved just for Dr. Micheal.
Stop&Shop. A bit on the fence here, lately. I used to love this store. It was always clean, well stocked and had specialized stuff not found in Shoprite. And, unlike Shoprite, the employees were always friendly, polite, neat and efficient. They are going thru a transition lately, however where they are trying to get Shoprite business and they have discontinued many specialty item, refocused their loss leaders and seemed to have hired many of the Shoprite employees... the kids who never learned that part of customer service is saying please, thank you and actually making eye contact. I am waiting to see how this goes.
Carvel. Again, nice people and I am really glad they are in town.
Napa Auto. Knowledgeable staff, good store to have in town.
Perkins. I know I will probably get hammered for this, but I am glad they are here.
Appetizzo’s. Super nice people, GREAT food. I love going there.
Turanos Pizza. I used to really like this place but will never order from there again. We placed an order the day before Memorial Day for 1 reg pizza, 1 pepperoni pizza, 1 everything pizza and 1 small salad. The price came to $60! SIXTY DOLLARS!!!! I thought it was a mistake and called to ask if that was right and sure enough, he is getting $12 for a plain pizza, $14 for a pepperoni, $20 for an everything pizza. He then adds a delivery charge. The menu I had in front of me from about a week before had lower prices than that. Now, I don’t begrudge someone making a buck and if he is getting customers at those prices… power to him. But the day will never, ever again come where I will pay !$60! For three pizzas and a salad. It is pizza for Pete’s sake.
More will come to me later, no doubt. |

Gelone's Restaurant on Ridge road. Great Italian food, and the people there are really nice. It's a good place to have some really good food.
Dr. Zaccari at the Meadowlands Chiropractic Center. I know alot of people are skeptical of chiropractors, but this man helped my neck and back pain, and since I have been going to him I have no more migraine headaches. My wife and my mother-in-law go to him, and I recommend him to anyone looking for a chiropractor.
Burger King on Park Avenue, only because on many nights it beats cooking, and it is fast.
Levy's Pharmacy on Stuyvesant. They have always been helpful and have never let me down in an emergency. Not to mention, some of the girls in there are good looking.
Medieval Times. Just a great place to go and let loose and have some good fun. Great place for the kids, and adults as well. Gets the whole family involved, and very entertaining. Might be a tad costly, but how often can you eat with your hands and get messy with nobody complaining about it? |

Michael's Deli on Valleybrook is Great!!!!! The best fresh Mozzarella in town. Nice people too!
On the down side, Lyndhurst Florist, owners are snotty and mean! Overpriced! You get flowers nicer in shoprite!
Shoprite is going down hill fast! Produce is less than fresh!
Terry's Cozy Corner, a great egg sandwich I must say!
