My son is a victim of sexual harassment. A boy at school two years now has been touching him on his privates, trying to play sexual games with him (Gay mans game he calls it), and other disturbing things. the police are involved but they tell me its a school matter....the school sent him for psychological test and counseling last year and he passed and never followed up with the counciling. SIX CHILDREN WERE VICTOMS!! Again this year the same BS. THREE ARE VICTOMS. He again is doing the same things. This time he also did at Football!!
I need answers and for anyone who can help me or has any information to come forward!! The child will be back in school on Monday in the same class as my son. I am not aloud to move my sons class because then all three will want to. Mr. Abate will not let anyone move classes. Not like it will make any difference.....HE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND ANYTIME HE GETS THE CHANCE HE WILL DO THIS AGIAN!!!! HE MAY BE IN CLASS WITH YOUR CHILD AND DO THE SAME!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Please let us know hat school and then we can ask at the next board of ed meeting so it goes on public record. I have not hear about this so that means other parents have no idea about this I know someone at the newspaper and may they can help.

I need to know the next meeting also. Anything you can do will help.

I am not trying to discourage you, but when an issue about a child bringing a toy beebee gun into school last year and trying to shoot the kids was attempted to be brought up at the board of ed meeting. This mother that was trying to address it, was told she was not allowed and needed to sit down and be quite, that that was not the forum to which it could be discussed because they needed to protect the child who brought the gun and was not allowed to discuss it in an open forum.

So I don't know if attending a board of ed meeting is the way to go. You should maybe try to contact one of the members of the board of ed on your own and try to discuss it. I think Mr. Billis is a retired police officer so he may be the one to try to get in touch with because he might be able to help as far as the board as well as knowing the police procedures involved.

You should also try to get the other parents involved and help you fight, people in numbers usually do better. thank you for bringing this to peoples attention, because who knows how many other victims have been affected that have not said anything. This matter must be investigated in depth.

You can not bring up any childs name, but you can say wath if this happens what are the board styeps to avoid thsi problem and what step can be taken to stop it

The next meeting is monday night. Have someone with you like a friend or better yet a lawyer. Call the leader newspaper 1st thing monday morning let them know. They sometimes already have someone there. See if you can have the parents of the other children there to back you up. do not let Abate shut you up. This child and his parents need help before something really bad happens. Just remember your child need you to speak up for him. Good luck and my prays go out to you and your son.

I hope you do go to the meeting and try to get this brought up. I understand that you can not mention names, but when the issue about the beebee gun was brought up, there were no names mentioned, not even the school name, but the mother was still stopped. Lyndhurst does not like anything to go out in public that will tarnish its reputation.

I would contact the newspapers and not just the leader, the record, star ledger, whatever you can to attend this meeting too and maybe that will help get this resolved.

There are alot of people who would stand behind you so don't give up, by taking this stand you are not only helping your son but all the other victims.

I think more people need to attend these meeting. There is so much going on in this school system. This should not be happening to this child. Where are the teachers and pricipal during this. We send our kids to school to learn. but i guess we just assume the are safe. We need to make all our kids are safe. I will be at the meeting to show my support good luck

Have you considered posting an email address or some other way to contact you in case there are other victims that would like to join you in fighting for this? I know you probably don't want your name out there, but maybe there is a way even is you use a different email then usually, atleast that would give you a way for others to help you fight this, remember the more people standing behind you the better.

I have a net zero account and you can set up as many as 5 different email accounts under your account. You can also sign up for a free email from sites like Yahoo!, Hotmail or Google so you don't have to post your primary email account if you are concerned about any negative reprocussions.

I also advise contacting the tv news agencies like 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11 and News 12 New Jersey, as well as the local papers, the more news agencies the better chance for action from the BOE.

Take it to the proper authorities. Hope they can help.
