This is outrageous
It is clear that how these people were hired was unethical.
It is clear that unless you are related to or a close friend of this commissioner you will not get a job.
It is clear that the other commissioners and Mayor have turned a blind eye to this outrageous action.
It is clearly fraudulent that Lyndhurst charges an application fee when they clearly know it is a lie.
It is clear that this commissioner only wanted to be elected to get his picture in the paper every week and to get his people hired.
It is clear that unless the State actually makes an example of this commissioner, this will continue forever.
So who will call the State and demand an investigation?
What about the NAACP?
What about the media?

Oh my, I'd say you absolutely hit a nerve! Isn't it something when the truth is finally out there? Now that some intelligent people are talking about blowing the whistle on the unethical behavior, we'll see them scurrying like rats, with their lame threats and name-calling. To those of you who have taken advantage of the residents of Lyndhurst by perpetuating this cycle of fraud: The gravy train is over, your goose is cooked. Wasn't it bad enough that you took and took and took from the Township for years and paraded around with such arrogance? Yeah I'm talking about the Kapp family, the Cuneo family and the Jasinskis. And as someone wrote on a differnt post on this board - the nerve of the Kapp kid's mother to put her bosses in this position. $70,000 a year as a municipal "secretary" plus your husband's town salary plus town-paid benefits isn't enough for you??? You have to put your bosses in the uncomfortablr position of having to hire YOUR kid?? You are one greedy, unappreciative woman. That's how you show your loyalty after all of these years? The truth is your family's arrogance, bad attitudes and in-the-gutter-greed is what prompted all of this. It was the last straw - you've disgusted everybody. Go have another cigarette.

The bottum line is, the CORRUPTION should be illegal, the hiring process isn't thorough enough, and most importantly they DO NOT offer a fair opportunity. People say that it's everywhere and they are correct; however, seems to happen just a little bit more in Lyndhurst than it does elsewhere.
This corruption and political favor horse crap has been occuring since before any of us can remember. Some people turn their heads and ignore it claiming that it will just continue to occur. IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE! Lets think about it, at one point it was normal to enslave an African, or better yet, Hitler tried to commit genocide on a whole race of people. What if nobody took a stand? Would I be outside maintaing my own garden, or would my slave be doing it? Today in 2009, would Jewish people exist? I'd like to hope that most people agree that somebody took a stand against evil horrors of the passed and eliminated them from our future. WE HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT! It is no longer the 1940's, Jim Crow laws have long since been abolished, and the world is supposed to be an equal place! People need to stop being so naive and realize the unethical and almost "criminal-like" activity that has occured during this last hiring. Basically what I'm saying is that change is very possible. It is the "equal rights" and "internet" generation, TIME ARE CHANGING GIANGERUSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These old timers needs to realize that people are watching and people are ready to strike!
I DO NOT care what anybody says, if you agree that these hirings were not 100% unethical politically driven, then you're making it quite obvious that you are related or really good friends with recruits. There is a solution, it has two words... CIVIL SERVICE! It's not like their isn't options people!
So remember next time any of you wanna agree with these hirings, think that you will probably be working with your back while Callaghan, Kapp, Cuneo, and Jasinski will be drinking margharita's before their tee times on the southern tip of south beach getting a back massage in their mid 40s because their life was handed to them on a solid gold plate. You'll still be 64 working.

if you want to say that they had their life handed to them, then I guess the entire Lyndhurst Police Department had their lives handed to them on gold plates, or even teachers who are employed by The Board of Ed, any town job. Wow these Gold plates seem to get spread throughout the town. Things like this happen everywhere.

Actually this kind of nepotism doesn't happen everywhere. And to say it does and use that as an excuse is ridiculous. So if stealing is common somewhere, then it should be acceptable for everybody to do it?

Lyndhurst 123 , I couldnt agree with you more. Every thing that this board has done from a pool that nobody wanted to a 3,000,000 park so they could walk around in matching suits and pretend to be wannabes. They ran on Stop Over Development, But they want to put a 5 story,52 unit,low income housing unit on Valley Brook Ave, but the best is that NO LYNDHURST SENIOR HAS PREFERENCE, Again they just want to LOOK GOOD, at YOUR EXPENSE, The Mayor is run by his father , Gangerouso is run by Haggerty and Momarato, And the rest are the Mayors Puppets.Things have to be brought out now so every one understands whats going on. A lot of seniors wont see this because they dont have PCs,Im not here to start a fight , but I know The Mayor and his Puppets will do and say and promise every thing to anybody to get the vote. So lets get the word out We Want A CHANGE . And I know that with everything going on, The NEW BOARD of COMMISSIONERS WILL think before they act.
