| Is it true that there weren't enough Lyndhurst H.S. Seniors interested in participating in the Project Graduation function this year and it was cancelled? |

It's a celebration the night of graduation for the graduating class. They are bused to a location where there is entertainment, activities, food and socializing with their fellow graduates. It is the senior's last school function that is chaperoned by parents and staff. It was something that my students looked forward to. Statistics have shown that more fatalities happen on graduation night and the Project Graduation events have been proven to reduce these accidents across the country. LHS has been doing Project Graduation for over 10 years, and this was the first class I heard that was disinterested. I'm not looking to open any "cans of worms"; I was just curious why such a great tradition, with such good intent, was stopped. |

I would like to explain myself when I usesd the statement can of worms...There are so many rumors flying around as to why this was cancelled.. My children have enjoyed this project graduation as well. When I made the worm statement i just felt like people on here have a way of being mean and spreading rumors... I feel its a time of celebration for the class of 2009 and lets keep it that way. This website at times has been a bashing forum getting as cruel as name mentioning etc. I didnt want this thread to take away from the graduating class..... |

I totally agree with your perception of this board and that certainly wasn't my intent. |
