After reading the article about the 5.2 million pool I cant stop laughing on how incompetent Mr. DiMaggio is and also his department. He states that during the election someone came in and measured the pool in meters , Its amazing that he thinks were stupid enough to believe that. Any body that wanted to know the length of the pool could have went to the building department asked to see the specs on the pool
( blue prints are in feet and inches not meters ) got a tape measure example 35,50,100
and measured the pool what is so hard about that. He doesn't even know how it will run or what the maintenance costs will be. So instead of his department running the pool,
The Board of Commissioners want the YMCA to run it, he even states in the article its better if the Y does it, real smart build something we didn't vote on then bring in someone else to run it. What else are these guys going to do ? I think its time to shut them down, Give Lyndhurst back to its residents

At the town meeting last night the Mayor said they are letting the YMCA run the pool because they didn't know the ins and outs of running a pool. How could you take on a project and not know the operations before hand? ( I think someone should tell Commissioner DiMaggio that the spray on tan he's using looks horrible )

What did he look like ?

THE YMCA HAS BEEN RUNNING THE RUTHERFORD POOL FOR SEVERAL YEARS. I GUESS THEY DO A GOOD JOB. WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS TOWN CAN TURN THE POOL OVER TO THEM AND WE AS RESIDENTS WILL HAVE TO PAY TO USE WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR.

Very good point, Apparently we will be paying again, Its about time we start going to town meetings and start questioning what the hell is going on

Maybe we should do away with little leauge and football becauese we have to pay the Parks dept to maintain the fields.And Basketball and all other high school sports so we dont have to pay the janitors and police overtime to work. Maybe it is cheaper for the YNMCA to run the pool then are highly skilled custodian staff. We all know the Parks department and DPW are way to busy to maintain the pool.

The Parks and DPW can't even clean the bathrooms or take the garbage down at the baseball and hockey rink. Please these guys do very little. Mr Dimaggio should step down he is a mess he has made so many promises and they have amounted to nothing but open lies.
