Not sure if this would help me... This kind of concept was introduced to me several years back and it lead to me trying to create 'sameness' in my approach to both high and low notes, and my support system was constantly 'stuck'. I have had more success doing the opposite -- setting a good space for the upcoming note on the note prior. One of my favourite Lamperti maxims is about letting each note ignite the next, and this smoothed my registration a great deal even though it hasn't solved my problem with the extremes going away.
