Hi, Michelle, you're among friends here, so ask anything you like. I'm sure there are many possibilities regarding your lack of emotion. It's obvious the subconscious mind sometimes overpowers the conscious mind for the purpose of self-preservation. I'm unclear on one thing. Is it that you can't feel these emotions or is it more that you can't express them? Most narcoleptics with cataplexy have reprogrammed themselves to suppress emotion to prevent attacks. My cataplexy is spontaneous, so it would be pointless to suppress emotion. My attacks are unavoidable. So I'm just a big ole crybaby sometimes and a gigglebox others! Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. I didn't even ask if you have cataplexy. Most of us do, but not all.
