Re: What is the biggest hindrance for you?

yes, but before that metaphor gets all the attention: consider that the french call orgasm "the little death".

i have thought about PWN and the "frisky factor"... i think years ago we agreed that we have all this going on AND libido too.

is it the lassitude we combat emotionally? or a baseline depressive condition? does sexual intimacy mean getting ahold of more life?

i think "kind of unappealing" was very well expressed. i get apathetic, when so much limitation presses down on me. our walk with the Lord is helping me so much with that, when i take it to Him bluntly, and say "ok, i am a pretty poor excuse for a joyful human. i know apathy is repugnant, but gee, Lord, it just comes with the N sometimes."

as for self destruction, i wonder if PWN have the inclination more or less than other people with limitations? long undiagnosed and unacknowledged years of ignorance and invisibility, and social stigma must heighten it. and if you are young and dealing with the awareness of a future with this, despair must also figure in.

Thank God, i deal with losing my happy life with children and work, but i didnt have to consider losing when i was 30. Now even though i dont have them, i once did.
