all pretty self-involved during Vietnam, there was a mixed bag of raging non conformity and war-connected conservatism, in stark contrast to American unity in the 40's.

I defend the children born to my generation. they are hardened pessimists, and no wonder; but they are giving and hard working. anyone who decries the couch potato yuppie larvae must have some spoiled kids.
