Dear SCSleepy92,

i have never heard anything called "sleepy brain", but narcolepsy and cataplexy are both descriptions of symptoms, very diverse and individual.

could be that you are dealing with more "fuzziness" and cognitive trouble than "sleep disturbance", but from the same brain condition. the chemicals we all need to regulate wakefulness and sleeping/dreaming are missing or in short supply.

if you like, check the thread below called "Definition Page", but keep in mind that is the whole spectrum of symptoms that affect us all differently.

Provigil is uniquely effective, and you should have good results from it. some people are not OK with it, you might have jitters for a while or feel it wear off during the day. if you get emotional or something in the next few weeks, keep a little notebook of times and events, so you can tell your doctor.

Provigil really cleared my thinking, which was such a blessing. i hope it works for you.

you are most welcome on this forum, this news must have you pretty shook up. so please know that i feel just miserable for your burdens. post if you like, people here really understand.

God bless,

pat
