what happened to me, and i believe to others, is typing in this medium became immediate communication. my typing has improved, but i have almost completely let go of some points of punctuation and grammar, in the interest of fluid communication.
i post sometimes and find that i "automatically" chose some wrong words, which i spelled correctly, just chose wrong! like there. sigh
add to that the number of incredibly puter-literate people who did not happen to know touch typing when they embarked on this surging medium. i know my daughter and my Uber Geek, Matt, type faster than me, and using about 3 fingers. for them many of the rules never existed.
boy i have some gripes about it, when i read someone who is trashing another person's intelligence! or in official documents.
but the day is almost past when we will be penalized on job applications, or just snubbed. going to be a blast to the language and culture, when "bloggese" has full fellowship in English writing.
