I am happy with my Dr. in almost all cases. I have been seeing him for more than 12 years. The med. that I am on is Dexadrine, which is a controlled substance. This means that my Rx. can not be faxed to the pharmacy. For a while they tried mailing my Rx. to me, but twice I almost lost work when I was down to my last pill. The Dr.s assistant was eventually fired for mailing Rx.s out, but holding out one or two, to sell on the street. So except for about six months I have driven 12 miles one way to pick up my Rx. Usually its not a problem. When he gets a new assistant everything goes to heck for three or four months. If I call in the morning I will get a call back that afternoon that my Rx is ready. When he gets a new ass. you do not get a call back and it can take a week to get your Rx.
I have to admit, even if I am not working anymore, I get paranoid when someone messes with my Med.s.
I can not function, and I can not drive with out my med.s
I could be off, but after 12 years I do not need the hastle, after 12 years I deserve better.
Thats 12 with this Dr., but 40 with N.
