I think the floating thing or levitation in my dreams are simply a defense system that my brain and body have devised. Sleep paralysis can be rather scary at times as well as painful if you fall asleep in an uncomfortable position, like I do many times. It just happened one time and my brain just kind of adopted the whole concept, I guess. I do it almost every dream. I can't explain the out of body thing but I always see myself im my dream, when I'm between that awake/sleep point in time.
I don't have many child hood memories that I vividly remember, either, I had a great childhood, but I think our long term memories suffer alot because of our narcolepsy, as well do our short term. All in all, I think we suffer alot of memory loss. I was also a day dreamer. Long time friends have corrected me on some of my memories, so maybe I was just asleep and dreaming a different ending to my story. Maybe I should be a Hollywood movie writer and write all those alternate endings!
