I can not answer your question properly. I can just tell you my experience.
It was 1968 and I was having trouble at work, and at home. My GP said I was Ok, just take
some Vitamins. My second Dr. was 79 years old. He talked to me in his office for 20 min. asking questions and listening to my answers. He then told me I had Narcolepsy. It was not possible to test for N. so he tested for 4 Sat. to prove that I did not have other problems. I moved to Calif. in 1970. In 71 I went to Stanford, with my records. After talking to me 2 Sat. in a row, they confirmed
my Rx.
When you listen to the stories of people who were not Rx properly in the past 30 years, They
have not come very far.
I was Rx. by a Dr. Max Hemingway, in Bend Oregon, population 12,000 (at that time)
This was a caring Dr. who dedicated his life to helping others. He read constantly and kept up with his profession in every way possible.
This is another reason I count myself as one of the lucky ones. I found a Dr. who Really cared.
