Re: living solutions?

LOL i know! my kids ASKED me to leave. it is incredibly difficult for the extended family to "become disabled" with us, and hump the daily challenges.

i dont mean in the same house, until socio/economic collapse makes people view survival differently.

when there was a housing crisis back home, due to speculation in land value, many working couples and their children were living in tents and other peoples' garages. my 12 year old lived that way with my 18 year old and her child, and my third daughter, then 15.

it sure changed their perspective, and i see that happening now nationwide.

For now, i heartily endorse just moving closer together, at least to the same towns. the increasingly transient nuclear family units that transferred from city/region to city/region since the 70s are now living hundreds or thousands of miles from even siblings and parents.

it is expected that when there are family emergencies they will just fly in, and every year decisions are made to gather at the holidays. this will be completely impractical soon, and when jobs are lost, retirement savings are scammed and skimmed by rascals like the AIG thieves,

when the artificial bottom falls out of our 21st century American lifestyle,

we would do well to already be living within 50 miles of family.
