I have the same thoughts. I have been giving the provigil another try and putting up with the side effects. It's been almost a week. I think inflammation is a problem with me too, I have had more pain due to arthritis since I've been taking it. I do sleep more soundly at night, but when the provigil wears off about 5 pm for me, I can hardly function and I'm so extremely tired and more automatic behavior. I've been putting up with N for 43 years and I just can't deal with it any more.
