I grew up in Portland from age 5 to age 37, with the exception of two years in high school we lived in San Diego. My three girls were born in Portland and I must admit that my middle daughter has two web toes on each foot. Although I'm told this is genetic, I'm more inclined to agree with you that living in Gods Country where it rains 300 days of the year, web feet are a must.
I agree that Oregon is one of the most beautiful states, but there is a price to pay with all that rain. I figured out after many years that if you have seasonal depression, it is not a good place to live. I love the sun, weather it be hot or cold climate. I have severe allergies to all trees, grasses and molds and Oregon seems to have them all. I have many pictures I pull out once in a while of the Rhodedenran Gardens and the Rose Garden in Portland, I can't think of anything more beautiful.
