Dear Quas Mom,

Let me comment on the comments, and put in my 2 cents about your concerns.

GEM said "worthwhile" and i absolutely KNOW that is true! ALL of this is infinitely possible, and will bear fruit in your son's life. i know i have a great deal to be proud of, children and my mark on the world, and past and present company here on the forum have made wonderful contributions and families.

Bri said some expectations "no longer apply" and that is very difficult to hear, but she is aware of all that means to her now at 17. yes it is something to get a handle on, especially for Bri and your son, and the others who found out so early in life what this is all about.

The ADA is something to keep in mind during school, as well as in the workplace, so do get all the information from them that applies. there are protections for Americans with special needs and challenges.

i might still have some contacts at ADA organizations, please ask about anything we can help you to research.

Please ask again and again about the concerta and provigil, some people may not have been online when it came up each time, and we have lots of combined experience/information.

more about meds in a bit. I am going up to the most recent posts, and working on another cup of coffee...

lets give this nforum thing a spin and see what we can do.
