thanks, Pam,

some of the sites we rely upon are static, outdated, and often quoted and believed because practitioners are not involved much with us.

Published AMA standards of care in 2008 are still unheard-of, and I believe Walt took some of our input to Mayo in Minneapolis before the Journal article was out.

We often heard of 800mg per day prescriptions in the past, so I thought that might still be around the max.

Besides the 4 hour "peaks", there is a serum level benefit which i dont see mentioned: it improved things like sleep, sleep quality, (probably endocrine levels having to do with organ function, "feeling WELL"), C frequency and severity, and the aching/pain which is probably fibro.

It might have optimized my clarity and wakefulness to be able to take 200 at 4 or 5 hour intervals,

But about the time they came out with warnings about skin rash from extended use, i was putting my own (skin) to the test here: sun exposure in exremely "radiant" arizona (where the first 5 seconds feels prickly, and pain and burning start in the first 5 minutes;) got very very dark, and lived in the chlorinated pool.

I still have permanent blistering rashes, so that is a concern for me, in case I can ever afford Provigil again.
