No one has mentioned this to my surprise. The media is talking about how Michael Jackson wanted to sleep so bad that he had his dr. prescribe him that medication that knocks you out for surgery. It is as if they searched for a medicine that would definately knock him out so he could have less stress or whatever.
They obtained and gave him this drug illegally. Now, if he was going to get a drug illegally, would it not make sense to get something that would not kill you? (Xyrem for example).
He had the money obviously. I am thinking he did some research on anything that could put someone to sleep. The dr. gave him what he wanted. If they had that capability, I am just saying, Xyrem would have been a better choice...at least he would not be dead right now.
(Please no posts on how you feel about MJ...this could be any rich celebrity or non-celebrity in this situation...Elvis also died of similar circumstances, taking things to go to sleep and to stay awake.)
When I was first prescribed meds to stay awake, I was not scared about them, but when I was prescribed meds to go to sleep AND to stay awake, I began to think about these issues.
