Have you asked a doctor to send you to a neurologist to perform an EEG? The test gives doctors an oppportunity to look at your brain waves and with that they may find something. It sounds to me like you have Epilepsy. Im not a doctor and do not I am not confirming anything. I've had epilepsy for 11 years now. it is a brain disorder in which your body sends to many electrical signals to your brain causing seizures. There are different types of seizures, not all are so recognizable. It sounds to me like you have partial complex seizures. This is where you stare off without any realization that you are doing it. You can loose consciousness and definetly have loss of memory and what happened as well. You can sometimes snap out of it if you will and not even know what you are doing. It causes confusion which leads to disorientation. Thats pretty much all i have, but i would definetly get checked out by a neurologist or at least call the hospital and ask to speak with a nurse. Hope I helped or at least gave you something else to look into.
