i was just visited by a high school friend who is very insulin-dependent now. she and i had not spoken since everything was rosy, and we have so much in common with this: her daughter thinks she is "milking" it to manipulate people; strangers and friends ALL think she is not be deadly serious when she says, "I have to eat something" very plainly; they get mad if she has a crisis and the ambulance comes...
we were finishing each other's sentences!
it makes me heartsick to hear that she raised her only daughter alone, and gave her incredible opportunities, was a superb parent, and now she is "inconveniently" not ADEQUATE to even her daughter.
In our many discussions about dealing with the world, be assured it really isnt US, it really IS THEM.
