I think you're right about that. Between, I think, 200K and 150K years ago there were two african groups, the saun bushmen (sp?) and the haszobies (sp?). The saun bushmen of southern Africa are the only genetically distint tribe, today. They never migrated out of Africa over the thousands of years. The rest of us are related to the haszobies which emmigrated out of Africa. 130K years ago Africa became a dried up desert, this period lasted several thousand years, during this time the human population was reduced to about 2K people. 70K years ago the climate drought let up and the population grew and has continued to grow. The M star group migrated to the Arabias along the southern route of the red sea. At that time it was only 17 miles from Africa to Arabia. They crossed the sea and over several thousand years some moved on into Australia. This was about 45K years ago. Food was always the driving point of migration.
