Cass~~!! I have too, I swear it! I must have explained volumes to different doctors, one had all my records in his lap, and I went to pieces when he started:
"I dont actually believe in narcolepsy"
At one point the only person this clinic shuffled me in to was (not a shrink, not a clinical psychologist) a "counsellor". I thought, oh well, let me see if I can explain this, and he let me tell him 2 hours worth.
Then "I think you have to learn to control your emotions" and I had a huge C attack. That jackwad called an ambulance.
Another genius let me explain it all, and said "Maybe if you were more cheerful."
There have been dozens. I have a vestigial respect for doctors, but just the ones that got me through childbirth.
And my husband, but even he has said "Why cant you?" and "maybe the medications were your problem. you were probably addicted."
