Medications are a great benefit, also a solid routine schedule helps alot. Wakeup , eat, work, naps all at the same time of the day if you can manage it. Also look for tell-tell signs that something is going to happen. About 20 seconds before I have a sleep attack or some other form of event, I stick my tongue between my front teeth. I've learned to notice when this happens and prepare myself.
NAPS are great if you can manage them. I read that people with N get tired everry 3-4 hours. Try a sort cat nap every 3 hours to see if it works.
There is a guy I work with who doesn't have N but he drinks about 3 - 20 ounce cups of a coffee in the morning. One morning he was on his 2nd cup while he is smoking a cigerate. He stopped and put a dip of coppenhegan in his mouth. Now he is drinking coffee, smoking, and dipping at the same time. Then to get his day started he went and got a Red Bull energy drink. I am not advising you to do that but he was one h$%% of a worker that day!
