I haven't been posting here in a good while, but Ive been diagnosed with Narcolepsy for going on 4yrs now. I'm 28 and I have a pretty light case of N, and my cataplexy doesn't cause me to loose all control, but instead makes me feel like I just took a baseball bat to the side of the head, and instantly ran a mile in a split second.
I've been on Provigil since I was diagnosed, and have had mixed results from severe aggression, anxiety to sever chest pains from my heart racing away. I've only been on Nuvigil for a week now, but so far it's been great. It doesn't have the severe kick that Provigil does when it takes effect, and I'm much calmer and my nerves (jitters) have subsided completely. The only thing I've noticed different is that I get really tired really fast come about 7pm, but I'm up at 4:30 for work, so that is still a good long day without issues.
I'm not calling Nuvigil a godsend just yet, but so far so good.
