I'm like you when it comes to trying new drugs. I don't like to take them at all, but sometimes we have to in order to get through our day. Don't read all the side effects for one thing. The pharmaseutical companies are required to list everything, even if one person has that one in a million reaction. (I have been that one in a million a time or two) but you must at least give it a try. I suffer from all the symptoms of narcolepsy, especially the sleep paralysis and HH. I've gotten so used to them that I've developed some coping mechanisms that get me through. They really don't last as long as you think. There is always a time of adjustment when you start a new drug and then your body gets used to it. Like Gem says don't worry about it constantly, keep your mind occupied in a more positive place. It's going to be alright.
