Antidepressants

Has anyone found a more effective antidepressant to go with there stimulant? I have never found an "aahaa" medication. Effexor at full dose made me almost catatonic. At a lower dose I felt just weird and as I continued on it, a few times I became over the top aggressive. It scared me so I quit. Any advice would be helpful.
