Vacation

Since I am taking Dexadrine, a controlled substance, I have to drive 15 miles to pick up my prescription. I deliver it to my pharmacy, about 1 1/2 miles from where I live. Its a hassle but I am use to it.
I went in about 10 days ago and found out my Dr. was on vacation. Another Dr. at the office would sign the prescription. She handles the apnea patients.
Instead of my dexadrine she made it out for Dextroamphetamine SUL 10MG ER CAP.
The Pharmacist assured me that it was the same, but time released.

Why would someone that I have never had an appointment with, take it on herself to change my medication? I get up in the morning and an hour after my first pill I am ready for a nap. After my second one at 10:00 I nod off listening to the radio (Swap and Shop) From 1:00 after my third pill, its down hill the rest of the day. At night watching TV I fall asleep almost every hour, usually during the last commercial.
I have lost almost all drive. I last very little time working in the yard. I like working with wood, but I can't stay at anything in the shop. My wife notices it, says I am moody.
Normally I am doing something most of the day. Sometimes I take a nap after lunch or dinner for about 10 to 15 min. and I am ready to go.
I feel like I am on 1/2 or less of my normal med.

It makes no sense to me to screw with someone just because you can!
