Socialized Countriesby Jack (no login)I would like to know what happens to Narcoleptics in countries where medicine is Socialized. Here it was "Here is your prescriptions. Goodbye and good luck." That can't happen in all other countries, can it? It seems that one should not have to deal with the impending doom of possible destitution on top of the day to day struggles with the illness. Most of us struggle at work and often go through many jobs. We suffer the misunderstanding and mistreatment that comes with interfacing with the world as a N. It would be nice to live in a society where you wake up in the morning and are able to say "Well another day with N. but I know if things get really bad, I will be ultimately be alright because that's the kind of society I live in. I don't mind getting up to try to do my part everyday, but I don't like wondering if, in spite of that, my life may be tossed out into the street and I will be seen as a moral and economic failure unworthy of the slightest consideration. As N's I think would should fight to not be that expendable.
