First off I hear you about the jinx, I'm a fairly rational person (some will disagree
)but I still am superstitious. I've said enough here to damn myself to eternal problems. Oh well what will happen will happen, it's just a car or a truck or whatever, can't go crazy over it.
Now to your ABS issue. I know when I was researching the CEL and during my follow ups I found out there are several TSBs related to the ABS light coming on. I would play nice with your dealer and get him to show you all the TSBs related to ABS. Perhaps they have already consulted them but it pays to double check. Similar to the CEL they might be following a diagnostic flow chart that tells them to replace something that may not need replacing.
